Algebra
Content Standard 2.0 The student will understand and generalize patterns as they represent and analyze quantitative relationships and change in a variety of contexts and problems using graphs, tables, and equations.
Lessons (3)
Shows students that number patterns exist in the Pascal's Triangle, and reinforces student's ability to identify patterns.
Students practice arithmetic skills. Can be tailored for practice of all types of single operation arithmetic ranging from simple addition to operations with integers and decimals.
Students learn to identify a variety of patterns using sequences and tessellations.
Activities (2)
This applet allows the user to make observations about the relationship between speed and position and how both of these are affected by initial velocity and the incline on which the biker is traveling.
Plot ordered pairs on the graph, and they will be connected in the order that they are input. This enables you to decide how the pairs should be connected, rather than having the computer connect them from left to right.
